The Hop Shed is about bringing great ingredients together and bringing people together through our fine ales. There are currently three permanent staff at The Hop Shed, supported by an enthusiastic group who help us on an ad-hoc basis.
Sarah is the Brewer who has created the recipes for our popular range of beers and is continually experimenting with different local hops to produce exciting new beers. Sarah began brewing at home and then undertook formal training at Brew Lab in Sunderland. She then completed work experience at a handful of breweries where she could see how others put the theory into practice. Before becoming a brewer, Sarah was a teacher and also an educational consultant, leading training for teachers and supporting failing schools.
Hani's primary responsibilities are logistics, finance and IT. He also provides strategic direction and uses his management experience to ensure that we are doing what we need to do, when we need to do it. Hani enjoys getting involved in the process to create new beers and will always provide constructive criticism on the latest brews. Prior to this role, Hani spent several years working at the heart of the Financial Services industry in London and before that spent 11 years in the logistics industry.
Craig is the Sales and Marketing Manager. He joined the company in early 2018 and has provided much needed support in transitioning to The Hop Shed, in addition to opening up new markets for our beers. Craig is a big fan of real ale and has been part of the bar team at the Worcester Beer Festival, serving around 12,000 people in 2017!
